What to expect?

The assessment

The first session is an assessment and this usually follows the format of, firstly, identifying what bought you to therapy, the symptoms you are experiencing, what you understand as the lead up to the problems, how are you coping, a little bit about you, a brief synopsis of your life till now, including any past traumas, losses or events. We will take some subjective measures about your symptoms. We will plan to have some goals for therapy by the end of this session, to ensure. Some idea of the therapy interventions will also be discussed.

Sessions

The sessions are individualised and collaborative with the client. The client is in control of what happens. The sessions will be interactive, with learning about the symptoms being experienced and learning additional coping strategies to manage and work towards overcoming the negative symptoms.

Life can get a lot better.
